Dr. Jordan Balvich, DMD, FAGD, DAAOS
Rensselaer Dentist
Dr. Jordan Balvich, affectionately known as “Dr. J,” is the cornerstone of our exceptional dental team. With over 25 years of experience practicing general family dentistry in Rensselaer, Indiana, he is deeply committed to providing outstanding care to our community. Many patients are curious about the credentials after his name, so let us explain:
- DMD: Doctor of Dental Medicine. Dr. Balvich completed this rigorous training alongside medical students, emphasizing his comprehensive understanding of healthcare.
- FAGD: Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Only six percent of dentists achieve this prestigious designation, demonstrating a dedication to advanced education and excellence in patient care.
- DAAOS: Diplomate in the Academy of the American Orthodontic Society. Less than two percent of members reach this distinguished level of expertise in orthodontics.
Dr. Balvich’s commitment to excellence has earned him recognition as one of the nation’s “Top Dentists” by the Consumer Research Council of America for an impressive 14 consecutive years.
Dr. J’s leadership extends beyond the practice. He has served on the Board of Directors for the American Orthodontic Society (AOS), as Past President of the AOS, and as co-editor of the Journal of the American Orthodontic Society. As an associate instructor with the AOS, he teaches orthodontics to both pediatric and general dentists. He has also been a liaison for the Academy of General Dentistry, advocating for patient rights in Washington, D.C. Additionally, he is a past board member and president of the local CDC.

Meet Brilynn

Brilynn is one of the first friendly faces you’ll meet when you visit Jordan J. Balvich, DMD, PC in Rensselaer. As our Concierge, she ensures every new patient feels genuinely welcomed and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. With a calm, organized approach, she helps guests navigate everything from scheduling to insurance questions — making each visit simple, seamless, and stress-free.
Originally from Lafayette and a proud graduate of Winamac High School, Brilynn brings both small-town warmth and big-picture efficiency to our practice. Meet Rheannon
Community Liaison
My name is Rheannon, and I’m proud to serve as the Community Liaison here at Jordan J. Balvich, DMD, PC. I’m 21 years old and blessed with a wonderful boyfriend, a beautiful daughter, and a playful puppy who keeps us on our toes.
Before finding my home in dentistry, I worked at Arni’s Pizza, Fair Oaks Dairy Farm, and for the City of Rensselaer, along with years of babysitting and pet-sitting. Each of these experiences taught me how much I love helping people and being part of a strong community.
I truly enjoy being in the dental office and am always the first to volunteer when something new needs to be tried! I also had the honor of being named Miss Congeniality on the Jasper County Queen’s Court in 2024 — a title that reflects my love for people and positive energy.
I find joy in helping others and will always do my best to make our patients feel comfortable, cared for, and connected when they visit us.
